Believe it or not, I got this JUST for the blade and innards. I swapped out the scales for "Kraken vs Pirate Ship" scales, I swapped out the axis lock piece and thumb stud with the GlowRhino tritium add ons, and BOOM! I am super pleased with the overall setup. Truth is though I'd be super amazed just having this knife the way it came! The acid stonewash process applied to this blade is perfect! It is going to be tough for me to get any other blade finish in the future after seeing this and appreciating it in person. I strongly recommend this blade finish and if you are reading this I am seriously wondering why you haven't already just bought this while you are currently able to! You will not regret it! I usually get "off trail" in places like Big Bend National Park on US385 and of the few things I'd want with me daily, this is absolutely one of those every day carry items I want on hand. The finish makes it easier to use in almost any situation and not worry about marking the blade.

The acid stonewash on the blade looks fantastic as always, and the edge is almost scary sharp! Way better than the factory edge. It's almost a shame that as soon as I got it, I tore it apart and put new scales and hardware on, but the blade looks perfect with the other upgrades!

I really like having something just a bit different on a common knife and the more I use it the better the blade looks. Also came sharper than factory which I appreciate!

Doing my research of different EDC knives and discovering that the Benchmade Bugout is one of the top knives on the market, I decided to make that purchase, but wanted to stand out from any other bugout that I’ve seen at the stores. Upon searching the web I came across this acid wash blue handled bugout and I knew it was for me. The order process was simple and shipping was prompt. Since I have received my bugout it hasn’t left my side and with one of my recent order of blue Micarta scales I can’t wait to install and stand out from the others.

The acid stonewashed blade is a great mod for creating a unique Bugout. The quality of the stonewash finish is excellent, and the resharpening job was well done. I swapped out the blue grivory scales with aftermarket carbon fiber scales, and the combo of the stonewashed blade, carbon fiber scales, and the OEM blue standoffs and thumb stud resulted in a very subdued and elegant package. I highly recommend the Bugout with the stonewashed blade, either as is or as a starting point for creating the Bugout that you really want.

Love my modified Bugout and super impressed with how quickly you changed the scales (copper) and had it shipped out. Razor edge added too. I’m a first time customer and will be back! It instantly has become my EDC of choice.

I love the Bugout. It’s a great knife and I own a few of them. I bought this version to further customize with micarta scales and a titanium backspacer and titanium clip. The only problem is I can’t get the pivot collar to unscrew. I don’t know if they put Loctite on the threads when they reassembled the knife. I know I will eventually get it out but right now it’s damn frustrating. Other than that I love everything about the knife and my experience with KnivesPlus.

Small story:
For the first time this knife was not available and the customer service was informed that it could be ordered.
I was ordered 5 days before the birthday and arrived one day before my birthday,great thanks to customer service and suppliers!
The knife is perfectly assembled,no loose, snapping parts!
But lubrication would have escaped the axis lock! ;)
