Disappointing12/21/2020 ByCharlie C The finish and workmanship is excellent. Polished like a mirror, even grinds, smooth leather grip. Decently sharp, and the false edge is also sharpened. Leather sheath is decent with a plastic liner. Only problem with the sheath is the retaining tab is just slipped through a slot, not riveted, so it moves around and could easily be lost. So why the three stars? The blade is too thin. It's only .145" which makes it look fragile. I have a couple other similar knives by different manufacturers that cost less than the Kabar. One is .187, and the other .236. They both look like serious knives. This one just doesn't. It's pretty and would look good on display, but it's not one you'd expect to hold up chopping wood for a campfire, or prying something open. Or take to a serious knife fight.
