As far as I'm concerned, A great improvement in looks. Not as grippy as the originals, but in a knife this size do you really need scales that are combat grippy?

Cheap, but nice. The red and black scales are the 3rd set that I've purchased. They nice and look awesome.

The scales came in great shape and fit my mini bugout perfecty. I also appreciate that they came with holes for the pocket clip on both sides, which is helpful for lefties. The scales add some weight to the knife, but it's not enough that I notice it in my pocket. The scales also make the mini bugout feel much more rigid. The scales are very smooth compared to the plastic ones, which takes some getting used to, but they aren't so smooth that it feels problematic. Overall, I think they're great scales for the price.
