The traditional Tanto blade profile on this knife provided for excellent penetration; far better than a traditional clip point or western Tanto point. Combined with the classic grip-neutral "Ka-bar" handle, transitions from a saber grip to pikal grip are easy and highly repeatable; making for a great fighting knife. The 8" blade provides significant reach, and imo is about the maximum length when sheathed for sitting down in a vehicle easily/without thought. If it's a fighter you are after, this is the way.
