I wanted to commemorate the day that I became a proud naturalized citizen of the United States. The first thing came up to my mind was getting a nice substantial American-made cool knife that has characteristics such as toughness, sophistication, endurance, and not-joking.
After some research (and showing a couple of candidates to my wife), the TOPS Operator knife became my top choice. It is sturdy knife with a nice lines. The blade is thick (probably not too much practical, honestly) and heavy, but it's balanced.
One more thing I did was the engraving service from Knivesplus, which I had before for my Spyderco Police. Again, the engraving was spot on! My phrases (We the people, Right to bear arms) were placed appropriately on the blade, so it matches well with other letters on the blade. Font size is good, too.

I'm an American & I feel obligated to seek out American made products! And oh did I find the perfect knife for me. I've been researching the Tops Operator Seven for several months. Knives Plus listed the Operator Seven at an unbeatable price & I jumped on it. I really like the quality of this knife. It will be here when I'm long gone that's for sure!
