RC BladeWorks Custom Micarta Scales for Spyderco Para 3 Knife - Blue / Natural - USA Made

I’d never tried micarta scales before but wanted to. Saw this set on Knives Plus website and thought they looked great, so I bought them. They were very comfortable in the hand, almost silky. But I was disappointed in the way they looked. The photo’s make it look like a naturally worn in color fade. But in person, it didn’t look natural at all. There’s a smear of orange in it that makes it look fake and like you’re trying way too hard to look worn from use but in fact not. I ended up returning them and replacing them with a KP Titanium scales with a Mayhem finish that I was blown away by. I highly recommend them! They look like art, in fact they should have named them A Starry Knife after Van Gogh’s A Starry Night. That’s what it reminds me of. So, I would buy another pair of the RC Bladework Micarta scales because they were so comfortable, but I would definitely recommend a solid color.
