A perfect kukri 07/16/2017

I really like what they did with the blade shape. It doesn't angle down as much as some other kukris & has a long sweeping shape. Edge is sharp. Sheath is well made & functional. I also bought the micarta scales for it. They are well worth it & provide a much better grip. I love everything about this kukri.

A superb tool 01/11/2016

I've been looking for a cutting tool that is primarily a weapon but does excellent bush work also. The Becker-Reinhardt is it. It is primarily a slasher and stabber. I tested it for a week in the bush. I cut halfway into a locust tree and quit but I could have finished. I dug a few test holes, chopped out weeds. The metal is very hard and does not ding easily. If you want a primary chopper I suggest a Kabar Kukri Machete. I now carry both the Reinhardt and Kabar Kukri in my truck.

My only criticism is personal. I found the handle is not thick enough for me to control the blade. I rolled a piece of innertube on it and now I have the palm swell to control it.

If you are looking for a defensive blade, this is it. You could easily pay 2X for quality like this. It is a great value. The sheath is all cordura and plastic and better than average quality. It looks like it will last a while.

You can't go wrong with the Becker-Reinhardt Kukri. Go for it!
