Was always skeptical with spyderco because i was never a fan of how all the handles and blades are almost all identical. Also being high end prices for cheaper material on the handle but the blades are most top quality. Besides some thats are 150 plus with D2 was something that kept me away but this past xmas my mom got me the spyderco para 3 lightweight in FRN Blue and SPY 27 blade steel. My reaction is Just WOW. What a amazing well made knife. It is the best flick open knife i have ever owned and the only one i can flick without throwing it out my hand or not getting it to open fully. But this one i can just give it a good solid flick an i don’t have to follow through or anything it just flings open itself! I actually have gotten way better with my other flick open knives! Ones i couldn’t even attempt to get open i can open now with one hand! If you need a good knife thats easy to flick open so you can learn how to open those types get you one of these spyderco! Wont let me finis

This was my first time buying a knife from Knives Plus. I had them acid itch and stone wash the blade, it came out amazing and perfectly centered on para 3 lightweight which is hard. I definitely would do again.

My first Spyderco and the most I've spent to date on a folder.

The Good:
Lockup is solid, no lateral play.
The FRN is sturdier than I expected.
I like the wire pocket clip.
I like the scale color more than I expected.
Very sharp.
5 stars.

The bad:
The bevel is uneven enough that it bothers me. It's a user so I'll eventually even it out but if it was a collector I would not be happy.
-1 star.

I gave it 4 stars but it should probably be 3.5 stars. Knives are all about the blade.

This is my favorite EDC knife. I’ve carried the Para 3 lightweight with CTS BDN1 steel for a long time and this version with CPM SPY27 blows it away. Same great features but the steel is much better quality.

Solid but not Exemplary 06/26/2020

The size and weight make this great for EDC. The design feels good in the hand and allows for great control. The FRN handles are solid but look cheap — Spyderco could do better even with FRN. Blade centering is still an issue but should not present a problem. Time will tell how well this steel performs. Solid but not exemplary.
