Spyderco Southard01/07/2018 ByJake Hodgson I really like the knife, the ergos are not as bad as some reviews made them out to be. The major issue I have with this knife is that the lock up is around 60-70%. For a new knife that costs a decent amount, this doesn't sit well with me.
Spyderco Southard11/28/2017 ByJeffrey Rance Very nice flipper style knife. Well designed & attractive. Unfortunately the CKRT Swindler at $30-$40 is a much better opener. The Southard is difficult and makes your index finger sore even after lubrication and 100's of flips. Perhaps they should have used the IKBS bearing system that CKRT used. I love the knife but only loosening the pivot screw fixed the problem. This should have been checked by quality control at Spyderco. Shame on them. :-)
