I know that everybody likes to hunt in the back country with exchangeable blade knives. I think they work great for skinning but there is just sometimes especially working around joints and trying to disarticulate things that a more robust fixed blade knife is very helpful. Yeah I don’t want a big heavy survivalist knife in my backpack. I think this is the just right combination for back country hunting. It is light but still feels reasonable in the hand. It might not be like a full-size bushcrafter type knife but I don’t really want that in my backpack. I carry this in the light weight Kydex sheath and I still use my small exchangeable blade knife for skinning.
