In the summer I work in a coastal marine area and needed something that would stand up to the salt water, provide a good grip when wet and open with one hand with or without gloves on. This knife checks all those boxes, plus it is very light for the amount of blade you get.

It was super sharp out the box, the blade was centered. I did chamfer the spydie hole as the edges were a sharper than I like out of the box. So the overall quality was very good. I would have preferred a blaze orange handle, but the bright bright green color does grow on you and also makes its hard to misplace.

For me it's the right choice when I'm around boats and salt water.

This knife is lightweight and useful in almost any situation. Love the blade, and the fact that it's rust resistant makes this my new go-to knife to carry. I own the original Pacific Salt, but the serrated edge made it something I carried for very specific uses.
