Look great03/21/2022 ByChris These scales look and feel awesome. Some light sanding on the lanyard hole to fit them and they popped right in. If you like blue denim micarta you'll love these.
As Advertised12/16/2021 BySpike Spiegel I love micarta, prefer it over G10, and the feel of these is great. Not rough, yet with plenty of purchase. Some spare material stuck in some of the holes, but nothing a few X-acto swipes couldn't fix. They're lighter than the photos show — rinsed and stonewashed denim, perhaps — but that worked well for my purpose: Royal Purple Rit dye. After boiling a couple minutes, they took on a nice violet cast. Once rinsed and dried, they fit perfectly.

Durability-wise it has a tiny bit of flex, but it feels sturdy enough that the knife isn't going to fail during harder use. Because of the cloth-like texture, it absorbs liquids and oils, especially from your hands. This is to be expected with any clothy micarta and I'm down for it, but be weary before buying if a slightly grimy knife really bothers you
