Awesome steel!06/13/2017 ByTimothy Yee The edge retention of the Maxamet steel is the best out of any other steel I've personally tested. Even over my S110v Paramilitary 2 and 10V Farid Mehr K2.
My Manix 2 LW cut through a days worth of cardboard and still had a hair-shaving edge.
The only issue I found with the blade is how fast it corrodes. Mine formed a light patina just after slicing up a few fruits. You would probably want to keep the blade and pivot oiled if you live in a humid or moist environment.
As its name says, the knife is really lightweight; there are no steel liners, just FRN (Fiberglass Reinforced Nylon) scales, and a wired clip.
The ball bearing lock may be a bit hard to disengage if you don't have strong fingers, so also keep that in mind.
Otherwise, this knife is absolutely great for any sort of everyday cutting task you might need and keeps light in the pocket.
