Was never overly impressed with the bugout with the frn scales. These AWT scales completely changed that for me, and now I appreciate the bugout much more. Also, KNIVES PLUS is a great company to purchase from. From purchase, to shipping, to customer service.

This design, in my opinion, beats everything else out there. These scales deviate from the outline of the original BO scales in a very subtle way, which is a great thing.

The slight deviation on the blade end provides more protection for the thumb studs, allowing for a much easier cutting experience. On the other end, the slight change in the outline allows for a much more comfortable grip for my XL/XXL hands. The texture is great and works well with the clip to keep the BO in my pocket.

All edges have a slight chamfer as well as a subtle relief to allow for easier access to the thumb stud. It also provides for a more comfortable grip where my index finger wraps around the scales. I've yet to discover a hot spot with extended cutting sessions. YMMV.

I have other aftermarket Ti scales and the AWT is superior in every way. And, compared to other options, the AWT provides exceptional value at a much better price.
