Knife is sharpened to a razor edge. This service is done on a 2" x 72" Burr King and finished on a Baldor buffer using a leather wheel. Blades are kept cool so overheating is not an issue. The 1813P-BCF Artisan Apache is a bulldog of an EDC that features a 3.50 inch modified Wharncliffe blade made of D2 steel, .15 inch thick, with a Rockwell hardness of 58-60, weight reducing fuller detailing, stonewash finish, and a flipper for ambidextrous one hand opening. The slim, black aluminum handle, 5.32 inches closed, has attractive black carbon fiber inlays for visual interest, ergonomic contours for secure grip, ceramic ball bearing pivot support for fast, smooth opening, a liner lock, glass breaker pommel with integral lanyard hole, and a side to side reversible satin steel pocket clip mounted at the butt end. The 1813P Series Artisan Apache has an overall open length of 8.82 inches, and it weighs 5.82 ounces. Made in China.
