XIKAR Knives: XIKAR Xian Knife SeriesThe XIKAR Xian Knife Series is a line of XIKAR knives designed for the gentlemen who want only the essentials in a knife; packing XIKAR form into a lightweight, compact frame. Each Xian XIKAR Knife is built entirely of 440A stainless steel, with a Rockwell hardness of 56, and offers high tech features such as dual thumb studs for ambidextrous one hand opening, patented mid frame lock and pocket clip. The Xian XIKAR Knife features a 2 1/8" drop point blade with dual thumb studs for ambidextrous one hand opening, and a stainless steel handle, skeletonized to reduce weight, with patented mid frame lock, a lanyard hole and a pocket clip. The Xian Knife has an overall open length of 5 1/2" and weighs only 2.2 ounces. This XIKAR Knife is available in a variety of finishes. XIKAR Knives-It all started in 1994 with a quest for a good cigar cutter: he couldn't find one, so he made one. Kurt Van Keppel and Scott Almsberger designed the Xi Cutter cigar cutter in 1996, assembled the prototypes in Kurt's garage in 1997, and made the first mass production run in 1998. In 2002, XIKAR added slim, lightweight gentlemen's knives to the product line. |
