XIKAR Knives: XIKAR Elan Knife, Stag, XI-118S
The illustrated XIKAR Elan Knife features a 1.93" drop point blade made of Z60CDV14 stainless steel, .07" thick. The blade has a nail slot for easy opening. The polished stainless steel handle, 2.72" closed, has a genuine stag onlay and a sturdy frame lock. The XIKAR Elan Knife has an overall length of 4.64" when open, and weighs 1 ounce.
XIKAR Knives-It all started in 1994 with a quest for a good cigar cutter: he couldn't find one, so he made one. Kurt Van Keppel and Scott Almsberger designed the Xi Cutter cigar cutter in 1996, assembled the prototypes in Kurt's garage in 1997, and made the first mass production run in 1998. In 2002, XIKAR added slim, lightweight gentlemen's knives to the product line; and in 2003, the Extreme line of high tech folding knives.
