The Spyderco Ladybug Salt Knife has a blade made out of a PH (precipitation hardened) steel that doesn't rust. H1 steel is naturally hard, and it will hold a sharpened cutting edge equivalent to many carbon steels. H1 has 1 percent nitrogen instead of carbon, so it cannot rust.
The illustrated Spyderco Knife is the Spyderco Ladybug 3 Salt Knife that features a 1 15/16" blade made of H1 steel. The blade of this Spyderco knife has a Spyderco hole for ambidextrous one hand opening, and a notched thumb ramp for secure grip. The textured Marine Yellow fiberglass reinforced nylon handle, 2 7/16" closed, has a Boye Dent lockback and lanyard/keyring hole. No pocket clip. The Spyderco Ladybug 3 Salt Knife has an overall length of 4 3/8" when open, and weighs only .6 ounces.
