Spyderco Knives: Spyderco Rock Salt Knife, SP-FB20PBK
The illustrated Spyderco Knife is the Spyderco Rock Salt Knife, designed by Ed Schempp, that features a 6 3/4" spear point fixed blade made of H1 steel. The blade of this Spyderco knife has a top swedge, notched thumb ramp, and a lanyard hole. The Rock Salt Knife has full tang construction; contoured black fiberglass reinforced nylon handle scales with Bi-Directional texturing for secure grip, an oversized hand guard, a pronounced finger choil and a lanyard hole. A Kydex sheath with multi position G-Clip is included with this Spyderco knife. The Spyderco Rock Salt Knife has an overall length of 10 1/2" and weighs 9.2 ounces.
The Spyderco Rock Salt Knife has a blade made out of a PH (precipitation hardened) steel that doesn't rust. H1 steel is naturally hard, and it will hold a sharpened cutting edge equivalent to many carbon steels. H1 has 1 percent nitrogen instead of carbon, so it cannot rust.
