Spyderco Knives: Spyderco Mariner Salt Knife, SP-C120S
The illustrated Spyderco Knife is the Spyderco Mariner Salt Knife that features a 3 3/4" serrated sheepfoot blade made of H1 steel. The blade of this Spyderco knife has an enlarged Spyderco hole for ambidextrous one hand opening, and a notched thumb ramp. The slim profile handle, 4 3/4" closed, has an integral shackle key/drying vent, a Boye Dent lockback and a lanyard hole. A removable metal pocket clip is mounted at the pivot end of this Spyderco knife. The Spyderco Mariner Salt Knife has an overall length of 8 7/16" and weighs 4.9 ounces.
The Spyderco Mariner Salt Knife has a blade made out of a PH (precipitation hardened) steel that doesn't rust. H1 steel is naturally hard, and it will hold a sharpened cutting edge equivalent to many carbon steels. H1 has 1 percent nitrogen instead of carbon, so it cannot rust.
