Spyderco Knives: Spyderco P'Kal Trainer, SP-C103TR
The illustrated Spyderco Knife is the Spyderco P'Kal Trainer, made in collaboration with Shivworks, that features a 3 3/16" drilled, unsharpened trainer blade made of 440C stainless steel. The blade of this Spyderco knife has a Spyderco hole and removable Emerson Wave for ambidextrous one hand opening, and for open on withdrawal. The contoured red G10 handle, 4 1/8" closed, has the ambidextrous Ball Bearing Lock. A side to side reversible tension wire pocket clip is mounted at the butt end of this Spyderco knife. The Spyderco P'Kal Trainer has an overall length of 7 5/16" and weighs 3.3 ounces. Made in the USA.
The word Pikal in the Filipino Visayan dialect means: to rip. The work Pikal in the knife world describes a martial art form where the knife is held in reverse grip with the sharpened edge inward toward the body, and is also descriptive of the blade's shape.
