The illustrated Spyderco Knife is the Spyderco Captain Knife, designed by Jason Breeden. The Spyderco Captain Knife features a 3 1/16" modified drop point blade made of VG10 stainless steel with notched thumb ramp and Spyderco hole for ambidextrous one hand opening. The blade of this Spyderco knife has two opposing cutting angles; one that curves inward and one that curves out. The inward curve holds what is being cut against the cutting edge, ideal for cutting in the downward motion associated with severing rope and line. The outward curve bulges out at the blade tip, providing an edge for close, controlled cutting such as skinning. The contoured black G10 handle, 4 1/8" closed, has dual steel liners, liner lock and a lined lanyard hole. A side to side and end to end reversible black metal pocket clip is included with this Spyderco knife. The Spyderco Captain Knife has an overall length of 7 3/16" and weighs 4.75 ounces.
