SOG Knives: SOG Topo Meridian Knife, Polished Blade, SG-M46
The illustrated SOG Knife is the SOG Topo Meridian Knife that features a 3.25" trailing point blade made of AUS8 stainless steel, .125" thick, with a Rockwell hardness of 57-58. The blade of this SOG knife has a polished finish with notched thumb rest, dual thumb studs, a blade flipper and SAT Assist for ambidextrous one hand opening. The finger grooved layered machined aluminum and Zytel handle, 4" closed, has SOG logo cutout, a liner lock and blade safety. A metal pocket clip is included with this SOG knife. The SOG Topo Meridian Knife with Polished Blade has an overall open length of 7.25", and weighs 4.5 ounces.
The SOG Topo Meridian Knives feature the S.A.T. (SOG Assisted Technology) opening mechanism. Unlike an automatic knife, which is activated by a button mounted on the handle, the SOG S.A.T. opening mechanism only works when the operator manually begins to open the blade. With just a nudge of a thumb stud or blade kick, the S.A.T. takes over to propel the blade to the open position.
