The illustrated SOG Knife is the SOG Blink Knife that features a 2.25" drop point blade made of AUS8 stainless steel, .100" thick, with a Rockwell hardness of 57-58. The blade of this SOG knife has a non reflective black TiNi coat, the SAT assist, and dual thumb studs for ambidextrous one hand opening. The black hard anodized 6061 T6 aluminum handle, 3.12" closed, has a lockback and dual liners. A blade safety, located below the lockback, is available to lock the blade in the closed position and serves as an extra lock when the blade is open. A side to side reversible low carry steel pocket clip is mounted at the butt end of this SOG knife. The SOG Blink Knife with black blade and black handle has an overall length of 5.37" when open, and it weighs 2.1 ounces.
The SOG Blink Knives feature the SAT (SOG Assisted Technology) opening mechanism. Unlike an automatic knife, which is activated by a button mounted on the handle, the SOG SAT opening mechanism only works when the operator manually begins to open the blade. With just a nudge of a thumb stud, the SAT takes over to propel the blade to the open position.
