The SOG Twitch, is a Spencer Frazier design. The Twitch Knife has the S.A.T. (SOG Assisted Technology) opening mechanism. Unlike an automatic knife, which is activated by a button mounted on the handle, the SOG Twitch S.A.T. opening mechanism only works when the operator manually begins to open the blade. With just a twitch of a thumb stud or the extended blade kick, the S.A.T. takes over to propel the blade to the open position. The SOG Twitch Knife features an AUS8 stainless steel drop point blade with dual thumb studs and an extended blade kick for ambidextrous one hand opening. The handle has a slim profile, but is built solid, with dual liners for strength. The Twitch Knife has smooth graphite anodized machined T6 aluminum handle scales, with lock back and a safety to lock the blade in the closed position. The locking mechanism, the safety, and the extended blade kick have texture notches, and the extended kick doubles as an integral finger guard with the blade is in the open position. The SOG Twitch comes complete with a skeletonized pocket clip, mounted at the butt end, and a lanyard hole. Available in Twitch I and Twitch II versions.The illustrated knife is the Twitch I: 1.9" blade, 2.85" closed length, 4.75" overall open, weighs 2.0 ounces.
