SOG Knives: SOG Flash II TigerStripe Knife, SG-FSA5
SOG Flash Knives feature the S.A.T. (SOG Assisted Technology) opening mechanism. Unlike an automatic knife, which is activated by a button mounted on the handle, the SOG Flash S.A.T. opening mechanism only works when the operator manually begins to open the blade. With just a nudge of a thumb stud, the S.A.T. takes over to propel the blade to the open position.
The SOG Flash II TigerStripe Knife features a 3.5" part serrated drop point blade made of AUS8 stainless steel, .125" thick, with a Rockwell hardness of 57-58. The blade has a TigerStripe Titanium Nitride coat, dual thumb studs and S.A.T. assist for ambidextrous one hand opening. The black Zytel handle, 4.5" closed, has a slide lock and blade safety. A side to side reversible discrete carry pocket clip is mounted at the butt end. The SOG Flash II TigerStripe Knife has an overall open length of 8.0", and weighs 3.1 ounces.
