Ontario Knives: Ontario RAT-5 Knife, QN-RAT5
The illustrated Ontario Knife is the Ontario RAT-5 Knife that features a 5" drop point blade made of 1095 carbon steel, .187" thick, with a Rockwell hardness of 55-57. The blade of this Ontario knife has a non reflective black phosphate coat, and a texture notched thumb rest for secure grip. The RAT-5 knife has full tang construction with greenish tan canvas Micarta scales, and a skull crusher pommel with lanyard hole. A Cordura nylon sheath with liner and accessory pouch is included with this Ontario knife. The Ontario RAT-5 Knife has an overall length of 10.75".
Editor's note: Zinc Phosphate blade coatings will probably be scratched upon arrival. We have seen the cardboard protectors scratch these coatings from shipping vibration. We do not consider these scratches a defect, but a characteristic of the coating itself. Please do not order this item if this is a concern.
