Kershaw Junkyard Dog and Lahar, Designed by Tim GalyeanThe Junkyard Dog and Junkyard Dog II Kershaw Knives, designed by Tim Galyean, feature beefy drop point blades made of Sandvik 13C26 stainless steel for excellent corrosion resistance. The blades of these Kershaw knives have an ambidextrous Index Open System blade flipper that first builds up pressure, and then propels the blade out of the handle for easy deployment. The Junkyard Dog Kershaw knife has a 410 stainless steel handle with CNC machined rivets, Airforce markings and a frame lock. The Junkyard Dog II Kershaw knife has a handle made of gray textured G10 with CNC machined rivets and a liner lock. Both Junkyard Dog Kershaw Knives have a removable metal pocket clip mounted at the pivot end. Made in the USA. The Lahar Knife, also designed by Tim Galyean, features a VG10 stainless steel drop point blade with dual thumb studs and blade flipper for ambidextrous one hand opening, and a textured black G10 handle with dual stainless steel liners, and a liner lock. An end to end reversible black metal pocket clip is included with this Kershaw Knife. Made in the USA. Tim Galyean lives in Newburg, Oregon, and has been making custom knives since 2004. He started in the knife industry in 2001, when he was hired on by Kershaw Knives. Mr Galyean started as a Machinist, then made his way to the Research and Development department, where he works on the development of new products. |
