The Katz Wild Kat Series Knives are premium knives with skinning blades. These knives have blades made of Katz Knives proprietary XT80 stainless steel, that tests out at 58-59 on the Rockwell "C" scale. With the resilience of this excellent stainless steel, it holds and retains an edge to the high standard for which Katz is known. All Katz fixed blade hunting models are constructed with a full 5mm blade thickness (almost 1/4"), which make these knives among the strongest in the industry today. The blades are hollow ground with a satin finish, and the knives have full tang construction for strength.
The illustrated Katz Knife is the Wild Kat with Cherrywood handle. It features a 4.63" skinning blade made of XT80 stainless steel that is 5mm thick. The satin finished blade is hollow ground, with a 2" texture notched thumb rest for control. The handle is flared at the butt for balance, with a pronounced choil and a lanyard hole in the butt cap. The Wild Kat Knife includes a fitted leather belt sheath. The Katz Wild Kat Knife is 9.38" overall in length and weighs 12 ounces.
