The illustrated Henckels Knife Set is the Henckels Four Star 3 Piece Starter Set with Steel that includes a (70103) 4" Parer/Utility Knife, a (70163) 6" Utility/Sandwich Knife, a (71203) 8" Chef's Knife and a 9" sharpening steel. Each knife in this Henckels knife set features a Friodur high carbon stainless steel blade with rat tail tang construction. The high impact black polypropylene handles are permanently bonded to the tang.

The edge is formed from an extra hard steel to hold the edge, the back of the blade is formed from a flexible steel to withstand the stress of use, and the tang and handle piece are forged for extra strength where it is needed.
