The illustrated Henckels Knife is the Henckels Four Star Chef's Knife that features a 5 1/2" wide blade made of Friodur high carbon stainless steel. This Henckels Four Star Chef's Knife features rat tail tang construction with a high impact black polypropylene handle permanently bonded to the tang.

The edge is formed from an extra hard steel to hold the edge, the back of the blade is formed from a flexible steel to withstand the stress of use, and the tang and handle piece are forged for extra strength where it is needed.
