The illustrated Henckels Knife set is the two piece Henckels Four Star Chef's Set that includes a (71200) Chef's Knife with 8" blade, and a (70100) Parer/Utility Knife with a 4" blade. Each knife features a Friodur high carbon stainless steel blade and rat tail tang construction with high impact black polypropylene handles that are permanently bonded to the tang.
Why are Zwilling J.A. Henckels Four Star Kitchen Knives so good? There are three different steels bonded together to form the Four Star blade. The edge is formed from an extra hard steel to hold the edge, the back of the blade is formed from a flexible steel to withstand the stress of use, and the tang and handle piece are forged for extra strength where it is needed. Together, these three materials make one of the best kitchen knives available.
