Why are Zwilling J.A. Henckels Four Star Kitchen Knives so good? There are three different steels bonded together to form the Four Star blade. The edge is formed from an extra hard steel to hold the edge, the back of the blade is formed from a flexible steel to withstand the stress of use, and the tang and handle piece are forged for extra strength where it is needed. Together, these three materials make one of the best kitchen knives available.
The Henckels Four Star Hollow Edge Santoku Knife features a 7" hollow edge Friodur high carbon stainless steel blade. The Santoku features rat tail tang construction with a high impact black polypropylene handle permanently bonded to the tang.
