The illustrated Gerber Shovel is the Gerber Folding Spade that features a boron carbon steel blade for strength and durability. The blade of this Gerber Shovel has a non reflective black powder coat, and a serrated edge that helps saw through vegetation while shoveling. The Gerber Folding Spade has a black anodized aluminum shaft and a glass filled nylon handle. This Gerber shovel folds to a compact 9.37" for storage, and extends to 23.4" for use. The Gerber Folding Spade with serrated blade is NATO approved.
