The illustrated Gerber Knife is the Gerber Vallotton Knife that features a 2.60" clip point blade made of high carbon stainless steel. The blade of this Gerber knife has a notched thumb rest, dual thumb studs and FAST assist for ambidextrous one hand opening. The FAST (Forward Action Spring Technology) is a patented blade opening mechanism developed by custom knife maker Butch Vallotton. The black glass filled gun checkered nylon handle, 3.80" closed, has dual liners, a slide lock with safety, and a lanyard hole. A stainless steel pocket clip is mounted at the butt end of this Gerber knife. The Gerber Vallotton Knife has an overall length of 6.40" when open, and weighs 4.0 ounces.
