Gerber Knives: Gerber Harsey DesignsGerber Knives has teamed up with acclaimed custom knifemaker Bill Harsey, Jr. to produce some of his award winning designs. Mr. Harsey learned the value of sharp steel as a logger while putting himself through the University of Oregon School of Architecture and Fine Arts, earning a B.F.A. in design. Mr. Harsey's keen insight into the ergonomics of knife design have led to extensive collaboration with the various branches of the Special Forces Teams both here and abroad. He worked with the late Colonel Rex Applegate to design the Applegate-Fairbairn Combat Folders. Working with Chief Jim Patches Watson, he designed the Silver Trident-the ultimate combat dive tool/knife. Harsey knives are designed to be used anywhere under any conditions. |
