GATCO Knife Sharpener Hones have an integral guide rod that slides in and out for use and storage, and a color coded ergonomic handle with safety rails for finger protection. These are replacements or upgrades for the GATCO Knife Sharpening Systems.
The GATCO Serrated Edge Knife Sharpener Hones are special V shaped hones, made of alumina ceramic, designed to sharpen serrated edges. Please note: Do not use the honing oil on the serrated knife sharpening hones!
The model illustrated, the Fine Serrated Knife Sharpener Hone ( brown stone with dark blue holder) is used to produce a keen polished edge on serrated blades. The Fine Serrated Knife Sharpening Hone also has a groove for touching up pointed objects!
