Forschner kitchen knives feature high-carbon stainless steel blades which are hand finished by Victorinox in Switzerland. A special tempering process produces an edge that can be resharpened again and again. All Victorinox handles are ergonomically designed to minimize wrist tension.
A Granton edge, also known as a kullenschiff edge, has hollowed out grooves on the sides of the blade. These grooves fill with the fat and juices of the meat being sliced, allowing for thin even cuts without tearing or shredding.
This Forschner Slicer Knife features a 12" straight Granton edge stainless steel blade with Forschner and Victorinox logo etch. The Rosewood handle comes with polished aluminum rivets.
