Columbia River Knife and Tool: CRKT Lake's PAL Knife, Part Serrated, CR-7243
The CRKT Lake's PAL Knife was designed by Ron Lake. The Lake's PAL (Piston Activated Lock) has a single hardened steel piston that serves as a stop pin, as well as the locking and release mechanism. The piston is shouldered and offset for tight blade lockup.
The illustrated CRKT Lake's PAL Knife features a 2.81" part serrated modified drop point blade made of AUS 8 stainless steel, .14" thick, with a Rockwell hardness of 57-58. The blade has a satin finish, and dual nail nicks for opening. The handle, 3.75" closed, has open 420J2 stainless steel construction with jigged bone inlays, button lock release, threaded stainless steel back spacers and a lanyard hole. The Columbia River Knife and Tool Lake's PAL Knife weighs 4.8 ounces, and comes with a custom leather pouch.
