Columbia River Knife and Tool: CRKT Gallagher Glide Lock 2 Knife, CR-7420
The illustrated CRKT knife is the CRKT Gallagher Glide Lock 2 Knife, designed by Barry Gallagher. This Gallagher Glide Lock 2 knife features a 2.88" modified drop point blade made of AUS4 stainless steel, .09" thick, with a Rockwell hardness of 55-57. The blade of this CRKT knife has a satin finish and a sliding bolster for one hand opening and closing. The drilled Silver and Blue CPL composite handle, 3.75" closed, has dual vibratory finished stainless steel liners, and a vibratory finished stainless steel bolster with the Glide Lock. The patent pending Glide Lock mechanism was invented by knifemaker Charles Kain of Indianapolis, IN. Slide the bolster out to create a tang to rotate the blade open. Slide the bolster back to lock the blade in the open position. Slide the bolster out again to create a tang to rotate the blade closed. Slide the bolster back to lock the blade in the closed position. Please note: this CRKT knife does not have a pocket clip. The CRKT Gallagher Glide Lock 2 Knife has an overall length of 6.50" when open and weighs 1.6 ounces.
