I've been throwing axes, knives, and spears for a while now and wanted to upgrade my kit. I've had my eye on these for a while now, because I know a lot of people that use them. I was worried when I read the review about it breaking, but I've been throwing them for several weeks now and have not had any issues with them. I tend to throw from the blade end rather than the handle, so the only modifications I will be doing is dulling the live edge that goes down the side of the blade. Otherwise I was able to adapt to throwing these quickly and they stick awesomely. Also this was cheapest price I had found them at, which was ultimately my deciding factor to purchase them from Knives Plus.

Accurate, well made for practice and repeated beatings against other knives. Strong, easy to throw and very accurate, so I said it twice. A great value and a perfect knife to stock up on for more throwing and less walking. I have four of these and three slightly shorter, lighter knives that I use for most distances during my throwing breaks. I work sales and this is a perfect stress reliever during breaks! I plan to purchase several more cold steel throwers in the very near future - impressed with the utility, accuracy and value. Thanks for the great service as well - I'll be back.

I have a wide variety of throwing knives and have become a huge fan of all of the Cold Steel knives. They are well balanced, and durable. their design allows for ease in throwing by the handle or by the tip, and perform wonderfully for spin or non spin throws. do not hesitate....buyer will be satisfied with the very first throw. I own all the sizes and styles Cold Steel offers and the 12 inch is my favorite.
