The illustrated Buck Knife is the Buck Catapult Knife, that features a 2 3/4" drop point blade made of 420HC stainless steel. The blade of this Buck Knife has dual thumb studs and LEAP assist for ambidextrous one hand opening. The platinum color molded themoplastic handle, 4 1/4" closed, has a lockback, lever safety and a lanyard hole. A stainless steel pocket clip is mounted at the pivot end of this Buck Knife. The Buck Catapult Knife with platinum color handle has an overall open length of 7", and weighs 3.5 ounces.
LEAP Technology: LEAP is a "lever assisted" design using a blade thumb stud to assist blade opening. A safety keeps the blade closed for protection, and is handle mounted above the blade thumb stud for convenient 1 hand operation.
