The illustrated Buck Knife is the Revolution XT Knife designed by Peter Whittaker. The Revolution XT Knife is a hybrid fixed blade knife with an integral plunge-style clip and bottle opener, and a rotating aluminum handle that doubles as a sheath. The core of this Buck knife is a single piece of 420HC stainless steel. The 3" blade area is part serrated, and has a notched thumb rest; and the back half of this stainless steel knife has a built-in bottle opener, and a plunge-style hanging clip for easy attachment to belt loop, vest, backback etc. The black anodized aluminum handle, 6 3/4" closed, has the Buck Whittaker logo. The handle has a push button lock, rotates open to expose the blade for use, and rotates closed to serve as a sheath (the bottle opener and hanging clip are accessed while the handle is in the closed position). The Buck Revolution XT Knife with black handle is 7 1/2" overall when open, and weighs 2.6 ounces.
