The illustrated Buck Rush Knife features a 2 1/2" drop point blade made of ATS34 stainless steel. The blade of this Buck knife has dual thumb studs, blade release ridge, and ASAP assist for ambidextrous one hand opening. The skeletonized gun metal gray anodized aluminum handle, 3 3/4" closed, comes with liner lock, and Cam Lock safety. A stainless steel pocket clip is mounted at the butt end of this Buck knife. The Buck Rush Knife has an overall length of 6 3/8" when open, and weighs 2.4 ounces.
Assisted-opening knives typically have a spring or tension mechanism for blade deployment. Buck Engineers have created an advanced design resulting in ASAP (Advanced Spring Assisted Performance) technology with a dual-spring blade pivot. This, coupled with the cam lock safety and blade release ridge create a safe, smooth, and reliable blade opening system.
