Benchmade Knives: Benchmade Rant Bowie Knife, BM-10500
The illustrated Benchmade Knife is the Benchmade Rant Bowie Knife, designed by Mel Pardue, that features a 3.95" clip point bowie blade made of 440C stainless steel, .139" thick, with a Rockwell hardness of 58-60. This Benchmade knife has BILT System for easy maintenance; contoured polypropylene handle with textured black Kraton for secure grip, a metal guard and butt cap. A black genuine leather belt sheath is included with this Benchmade knife. The Benchmade Rant Bowie Knife has an overall length of 8.58", and weighs 6.16 ounces.
The BILT System (Bolted InLine Tang), a patented Benchmade exclusive, simplifies the fixed blade assembly process, and strengthens the overall assembly itself. A long nut is positioned in the slotted full length tang, a hardened bolt is passed through the butt cap and threaded into the nut - drawing the handle assembly together for a solid fit.
