The blade has a black Teflon coat and thumb disk for ambidextrous one hand opening. The black G10 handle has double steel liners, five reinforcing bolts, Ultra Lock mechanism, and a lanyard hole. A side to side reversible pocket clip is mounted at the butt end. The Cold Steel Tanto Recon I has an overall open length of 9 1/3', and weighs 5.6 ounces.
