Ceramic blades are second only to diamonds in hardness, and hardness is one of the main factors in edge holding ability. Ceramic blades are virtually stain proof and hold an edge far longer than conventional blades. The lightweight handles of these Boker kitchen knives are made of durable Delrin, a lightweight plastic synthetic with high strength, and are designed to reduce fatigue during repetitive cutting chores.
